If you’re interested in nominating a nurse for one of the awards to be given out at the ANAC general assembly and conference this November, you still have a little time.  The ANAC has extended the deadline to nominate an outstanding nurse for one of the organization’s five biennial awards, which honor nurses for public service, outstanding patient care, nurse advocacy, leadership and lifelong achievement.  The new deadline, August 31, is also the deadline for poster abstract submissions.

All About Advocacy

The two-day conference takes place on Friday, November 9, and Saturday, November 10, at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. Topics on the agenda include legislative advocacy, infection prevention and the ongoing problem of violence in the workplace. There will also be a ‘70s-themed dance party on Friday night, featuring drinks, appetizers and a live DJ.  If you register before August 31, the cost is $199 for ANAC members, $249 for nonmember RNs and $75 for pre-licensure nursing students.
