Do you want to you know more about putting the latest clinical research to practical use? Next month, Azusa Pacific University (APU) will tackle this subject in a one-day conference called Ignite Your Practice.

Keynote Speakers

APU says the Ignite Your Practice conference, which will be held on Thursday, April 19, is intended to “inspire excellence in research and evidence-based practice.” A particular focus will be on designing projects to apply clinical evidence to practice improvement.

The keynote speakers for the event will be Bernadette Melnyk, RN, Ph.D., CPNP/PMHNP, FAANP, FNAP, FAAN, the dean, vice president for health promotion and chief wellness officer of Ohio State University, and Mary Beth Flynn Makic, RN, Ph.D., CNS, CCNS, CCRN-K, FAAN, FNA, an associate professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Colorado. This all-day event provides five contact hours of continuing education credit.

Registration Details

The conference will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Monrovia and will begin at 9 a.m. on April 19. Attendees must register by April 15.  General admission to the event is $125, or $75 for APU alumni or faculty members. If you’re a current APU student, the cost is only $35. This price includes the CE credits as well as meals, snacks and a gift bag.
