Nurse Practitioner

Department: Nursing - Administration
Schedule: Full Time (36+ Hours Per Week)
Shift: 8 Hour - Days

The Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, oversees care for patients assigned to the supervising physician; performs history and physicals, reviews laboratory, radiological and procedural results and in collaboration with the physician writes orders, prescriptions and dictates H&Ps and discharge summaries.

Qualifications

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current DEA with the California Board of Registered Nursing

Current Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number

ANCC Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification (in the adult patient care setting)
LA City Fire Card within 30-days of hire

EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent NP experience in an acute care setting. Prior critical care nursing experience preferred.

Must be willing to work weekends.
