Sr Director Nursing Perioperative
We have an exciting, cornerstone and highly visible opportunity for an experienced Perioperative Services leader, to direct and support our surgical services teams at St. John's Regional Medical Center.
As our Sr Director, you will direct operations to enhance the existing excellence and optimal patient outcomes, and strive to lead and inspire ~80 staff members, including your front line leadership team consisting of a Director, two Managers, an Educator, and multiple Coordinators.
We have 10 Operating Rooms including an Ambulatory Surgery Center, and offer a wide range of surgical services, such as general, ortho, ENT, bariatrics, and robotics.
You will be a leader who promotes clinical excellence through evidence-based practices, while fostering a healthy work environment in which team-based patient-centered care can flourish. You will oversee staff development, training, and well-being of the staff, and partner with our amazing unit chiefs and other clinical leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment.
You will also manage budgets, allocate resources, regularly assess unit operations, and identify process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and patient experience, and advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to surgery services and strategies.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience, and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience and three (3) years of nurse leadership experience required.Required
Licensure:
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
