CDI Educator, RN, Health Information
Job Description
The CDI Educator works with CDI program leadership to plan, develop, and implement education programs for CDI Specialists, Coders, and Providers. Educates members of the CDI team on the review functions within the CDI program in order to meet and maintain organizational goals, regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, and personnel management.
Qualifications
Licensure and Certification:
- Active CCDS certification or Active CDIP
- Medical doctor license outside/inside the U.S., orActive Physician Assistant (PA) License, orActive RN license in the state of California
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or EquivalentExperience:Three (3) years
- Acute hospital experience in critical care or medical/surgical area required
- Five (5) years of CDI experience required
- Three (3) years experience providing training
- Three (3) years leadership experience or equivalent
