Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Transition program obtains didactic and hands on skills training enhanced with clinical preceptorship.  This nurse will be responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on HMNMH’s policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certification:

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS and  ACLS provider cards required
• Current PALS provider card required within 60 days of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 60 days of hire
• Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, PCCN, Trauma) preferred
• Telemetry course certification or equivalent experience required

Education:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year acute hospital experience required
