Nurse Practitioner, RN (PT/PD) Cardiovascular Program Admin

Job Description

The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will have primary responsibility of supervising exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, as well as helping to coordinate the management of cardiac observation patients, working in collaboration with cardiologists and hospitalists.

The NP may also assist physicians with the care of cardiac interventional and/or cardiac surgery patients, with the goal of providing efficient, high-quality patient care-coordination.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certification:

• Current California RN license
• Nurse Practitioner Certification by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
• Possession of a furnishing number from the BRN
• Possession of a DEA number for Scheduled II-V drugs
• Current BLS and ACLS provider cards
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally recognized certifying organization

Education:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required

Experience:

• A minimum of two (2) years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner; Cardiovascular experience preferred
