Risk Coordinator, RN, Compliance & Risk Management
Job Description
The Risk Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of Risk Management activities. Oversees Patient grievance process, including compliance with timely responses. Management of hospital insurance policies and related activities. Coordinate internally and with the insurance carrier and legal counsel activities necessary to investigate and defend all claims and lawsuits.
Provides administrative and operational support to maintain risk management policies and procedures as well as audits of risk priorities based on internal and external assessments. The Risk Coordinator will oversee the Valuables & belongings policy and procedure to promote prevention of losses and completes investigations and reconciliation of legitimate claims with approval of the director.
Qualifications
Licensure and Certification:
- Current CA RN or LVN license preferred; or other licensed clinical discipline preferred
- CPHRM certification within 1 year of hire
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or other related field preferred. (Equivalent on-the-job experience will be considered)
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an acute care setting with experience in or working knowledge of patient relations, risk management, or related area
