Supervisor, Donor Center Collections, RN
Job Description
Coordinates donor center collections staff. Supervise blood collection at fixed and/or mobile sites to ensure an efficient, effective and compliant process.
Supervises staff, creates a team environment and provides leadership needed to maintain customer safety and satisfaction during the blood collection process. Supports and enforces established policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement projects, safety, environment of care and infection control guidelines. Performs duties in any nursing capacity as needed. Is the on-site/mobile site supervisor for all go-to-issues by staff, physicians, donors and patients. This position may require flexibility of hours.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience required.
- 3 years experience in a Blood Donor Center setting preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
