Job Description

The Clinical Nurse B- Flexible Integrated Team (FIT) is part of Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta (LLUMC-Murrieta) float pool. The FIT nurse functions out of a home department and reassigns to a LLUMC-Murrieta patient care department where additional staffing is needed to cover sick calls, vacations, federal and state legislative leaves or vacancies. Exhibits flexibility and readily accepts assignments where needed.

Utilizes discretion and independent judgment to prioritize, coordinate, provide and document direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient- centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Associate of Science Degree in nursing required. Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science Degree nursing program within six months of hire with expected completion date two and a half years after enrollment required.
• Minimum one year of experience required.
• Employees are eligible to be promoted into the CN-C FIT classification when criteria outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) handbook and job specifications outlined in CN-C FIT job description are met.

Licensures and Certifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
