Come join our team of dedicated professionals in this leadership opportunity at our Venice Family Clinic. Under the guidance of our Director of Nursing, the Clinical Nurse Educator will: 

• Develop and provide clinical training to all new hire MA/ LVN and RN at Venice Family Clinic.
• Design, implement, and evaluate training programs for nursing staff to improve clinical skills and knowledge.
• Provide ongoing education related to best practices, clinical guidelines, and new technologies or treatments in the ambulatory care setting.
• Lead educational sessions on patient care procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Support onboarding and orientation for new nurses, ensuring they are proficient in clinical tasks and systems used within the organization.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in clinical knowledge and areas for improvement.
• Develop and update educational materials, including clinical guidelines, training modules, and competency checklists.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess the effectiveness of training programs and adjust strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate joint educational opportunities and workshops.Assist in the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in Ambulatory Care or Clinical Education. 
• BSN or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active California Registered Nurse License and BLS certificate.
• Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment.
• Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress.
• Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care.
• Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters.
• Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork.
• Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• A strong clinical background is necessary to teach other nurses how to perform their duties. This includes curriculum development, needs assessment, and the ability to use educational technology and create engaging learning experiences.
• Understand the specific health needs and protocols relevant to the community the FQHC serves.
• Competency with EHR systems is crucial for training staff on clinical documentation, data analysis, and quality improvement measures.
• Must be able and willing to travel between sites (within Los Angeles County).
