Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Health
Full Time, Day Shift
Performs comprehensive employee post-offer health assessments, annual health evaluations and initiates employee wellness program. Performs assessment and implements care for employees with illness, injury and exposure. Develops and implements protocols, policies, and procedures for the nursing practice in the department.
Assists with the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Plans programs of health education for employees. Provides health screening and other community health services for outside agencies as contracted by USC Arcadia Hospital. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization.
Applies good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
- Education Minimum (Required) Graduate of state approved Nurse Practitioner program preferred. Preferred (Not required) Masters in Nursing Preferred.
- Work Experience. Minimum (Required) A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience with demonstrated proficiency in history taking and physical assessment, drug and alcohol screening and all aspects of post offer physical process.Preferred (Not required)
- Licenses and Certifications Minimum (Required) Current RN licensure in the State of California is required; Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner with national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; Maintains current Nurse Practitioner Furnishing license through the California Board of Nursing. Must successfully complete and maintain BLS certification. Nurse Practitioner certification by California Board of Nursing Preferred (Not required)
