Job Description

Assesses clinical education needs; designs, teaches/coordinates and evaluates clinical education programs. Coordinates with SMEs to develop relevant programs consistent with Evidence Based Practice. Uses ANA Standards for Nursing Professional Development to help guide practice. This position may require flexibility of hours.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• Minimum three (3) years clinical experience requiredTwo (2) years teaching experience preferred, including stand-up teaching and facilitation.
• Program development experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
• Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• For Emergency Department (ED) Nursing Professional Development Spec (NPDS) Role:
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS) issued by American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Current Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) Certification issued by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Current Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
