Job Description
The Educator-Registered Nurse(RN) plans, directs, coordinates, conducts, evaluates educational activities/programs and implements staff development, continuing education, orientation, annual update, and competency evaluation processes including remediation of hospital-wide staff. Educational activities include in-services, competency validation and are consistent with the mission, vision, goals, and specified service lines of Community Hospital of San Bernardino (CHSB).
The Educator-RN serves as a facilitator of student experiences and is involved in multidisciplinary committees and task groups in the development of hospital policies, procedures and quality improvement activities. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement, process, and activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years current acute care clinical nursing experience required.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
- Experience in an accredited acute care hospital or healthcare facility to include educator experience.
- Previous teaching and program development meeting The Joint Commission (TJC) standards for competency processes preferred.
- Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred
- California Registered Nurse LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification
