Job Description

The Clinical Nurse B-Operating Room(OR) utilizes discretion and independent judgment to prioritize, coordinate, provide and document direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient-centered care as appropriate to the operating room environment with minimal supervision.

Serves in the role of the circulating nurse or scrub nurse as assigned based on orientation and demonstrated competency. Contributes to cutting-edge and innovative surgical procedures by adhering to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) standards of practice and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Associate of Science Degree in nursing required.
• Minimum of one year experience required. CNB's are eligible to be promoted into the CN-C classification when criteria outlined in the Clinical Nurse Ladder handbook and job specifications outlined in CN-C job description are met.

Licensures and Certifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
