Maternal Child Health – Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and allother nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel.
The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a population based approach to determine patient needs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
2. Two years of experience and ability to carry out role to care for patient populations/acuities:
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
2. Current BLS (American Heart) certificate required.
3. Current NRP required.
4. Current ACLS (American Heart) required.
5. Advanced Fetal Monitoring required upon hire; maintained Q2 years.
6. S.T.A.B.L.E course completion within 6 mo. of hire
