The American Nurses Association (ANA) has launched a new website intended to help you become a healthier nurse. The website, called HealthyNurse, offers a wealth of articles covering various aspects of healthy living as well as a mailing list you can join for the latest fitness tips, news about interesting webinars and more.

How Do You Compare?
HealthyNurse also provides access to the health risk appraisal tool developed by the ANA and pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. The tool allows you to assess your health, safety and wellness, and compare your results to those of other nurses in your age group or specialty and against ideal and national standards. After completing the assessment, you will be redirected to a web-based wellness portal filled with interactive quizzes, games and resources.

Role Models
The HealthyNurse program seeks to help nurses become better advocates, educators and role models by becoming more healthy themselves. Nurses who make wise food choices, maintain active lifestyles, manage stress, live smoke-free and practice other good habits can set an example for others on how to be healthy.

The program is open to all registered nurses and you do not need to be a member of the ANA. Click here to check it out.
