Clinical Educator – DOU – Inter-Community Hospital
Job Description
The Clinical Educator will participate in planning, organizing, and evaluation of patient care in the Definitive Observation Unit under the guidance and supervision of the DOU Director.
This position helps to develop and maintain high quality, evidence-based care through education and training to achieve optimal patient outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position supports the nursing team and fosters a strong relationship with the leadership, medical staff, and employees.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
- Previous experience as an educator preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills preferred.
- Two years of experience in DOU preferred.
Minimum License Requirement:
- Current California RN license.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire/transfer.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer.Certification in area of specialty preferred.
