Job Description

The RN, Donor Room Specialty will be responsible for scheduling and collecting both autologous and allogeneic blood products and performing Therapeutic phlebotomy.

This includes obtaining the appropriate paperwork, communication with physicians, scheduling donor appointments, interviewing prospective donors, and performing the phlebotomy. Provides assessment, treatment, and care for donor population patients, adult and geriatric.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Experience and knowledge with advanced IV skills preferred
  • Requires working every third Saturday.

Education

  • Current State of California RN License required·
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Card required
